Platform Beds

A platform bed is a bed base that supports the mattress on its own deck with no headboard attached, so the bed reads as a low rectangle rather than a framed structure. Betalife's platform range covers pine wood bases in natural and polyester fabric upholstered bases in black and grey, including split bases made in two halves rather than one rigid piece, and versions with drawers set into the sides. Sizes cover all six New Zealand standard measurements, from Single 91 x 188cm to Super King 183 x 203cm. The fabric bases list a headboard screw hole distance, so a headboard here is a separate bolt on piece. Under bed clearance runs 15cm on the fabric bases and about 25cm on the wooden ones.
