Mattress size in New Zealand follows a fixed set of measurements, and the same six names are used for mattresses and for the frames built to take them. The standard sizes are Single 91 x 188cm, King Single 107 x 203cm, Double 137 x 188cm, Queen 153 x 203cm, King 167 x 203cm and Super King 183 x 203cm. King Single, Queen, King and Super King all share a 203cm length; width is what separates them, while Single and Double are shorter at 188cm. Size is independent of feel and of construction, so each of the six sizes appears across pocket spring, memory foam, latex and foam builds.
