What does the gel memory foam layer do?
It is a 1 cm layer sitting close to the top. It softens the first few centimetres and spreads pressure where you press into it, so shoulders and hips sit into the surface a little rather than resting on firm foam. It is a comfort layer, not a medical one. On a single the layer runs the full 92 cm width.
What certification does this mattress have?

What sheets do I need for this mattress?
Buy deep-wall single fitted sheets; at 26 cm a standard set will not stay on. Single fitted sheets are easy to find in New Zealand; check the packet quotes a wall depth of at least 26 cm.
Can this mattress be flipped?
No — the comfort layers are on one side only, so it is a single-sided mattress. Rotate it head to foot every few months instead, which spreads the wear along the 188 cm length.
