Mattress compatibility
Mattress size
Fits a standard 183 x 203 cm super king mattress on the slat base.
Slat base carries the mattress
The poplar slats support the mattress directly, so it can go straight onto the base.
No under-bed floor storage
The rails enclose the space beneath the bed, so items go inside the storage space rather than under the frame.

Questions before you buy
Which mattress fits the Violet super king gas lift bed frame?
A standard 183 x 203 cm super king mattress, resting on the poplar slat base.
How much floor space does the Violet super king take?
219 cm long and 191 cm across the headboard, which is the widest point. Leave clearance at the foot as well, because the base swings up and forward when the storage space is opened.
What can be stored under the Violet super king?
The slat base lifts on gas struts to open a storage space running the footprint of the bed, enclosed by 30 cm rails. At super king width it is the largest storage area in the Violet range.
How tall is the Violet super king headboard?
86.5 cm from the floor, with a 57 cm padded panel. That is a low headboard, so it sits comfortably under a window sill.
What is the Violet super king built from?
A steel internal frame with MDF panels, poplar slats and a woven grey linen cover.
How does the Violet super king arrive and what assembly is needed?
In two cartons totalling 47 kg of packed weight, both close to 2 m long. The headboard, rails, gas struts and slat base bolt together on site, and two people are needed.
