The Vinson super king split bed base is made in New Zealand and comes as two upholstered halves that stand side by side, which is the only practical way to get a 183 cm base up a stairwell. Each half is 91.5 x 203 cm and together they measure 183 x 203 cm, with a 24 cm deep box standing 39 cm from the floor on six legs, leaving 15 cm of clearance underneath. The mattress sits on top of the padded platform rather than inside rails, so it takes a standard 183 x 203 cm super king mattress flush to the edges. Metal struts run through each half, and the frame is padded with foam and covered in grey polyester. The mattress and headboard are sold separately.
