Description
The Gower super king is a velvet-upholstered frame in grey with a fine striped, winged headboard that stands 109 cm from the floor, of which 74 cm is the padded panel. Four drawers are built into the base. The slat platform runs 207.5 cm inside the frame and takes a standard super king mattress (183 x 203 cm); wooden flat slats sit flush with the rails, so the mattress is not crowded. Metal support legs carry the frame and leave 35 cm of clearance underneath. Assembled it measures approximately 216 x 183.5 x 109 cm and it ships in two cartons totalling 71 kg net. A mattress is not included.

Questions before you buy
What size mattress does the Gower super king take?
A standard super king mattress, 183 x 203 cm. The slat platform runs 207.5 cm inside the frame and the wooden flat slats sit flush with the rails, so the mattress keeps its full width.
How tall is the winged velvet headboard on the Gower super king?
109 cm from the floor, of which 74 cm is padded panel. The wings wrap forward at each side and the padding is high-density foam rather than thin wadding.
Where do the four drawers sit on a super king this wide?
They are built into the base, inside the 183.5 cm footprint the bed already takes up. Metal support legs carry the frame and leave 35 cm of clearance underneath.
Will a 216 x 183.5 cm super king crowd a master bedroom?
That is the assembled footprint, and a super king needs walking room down both sides plus drawer pull-out space. Measure the room wall to wall before committing to this size.
How heavy are the two Gower delivery cartons?
184 x 57.5 x 20 cm at 47 kg and 103 x 50.5 x 14.5 cm at 30 kg, 71 kg net in total. Plan two people for the 47 kg box and check the 184 cm length against doorways.
Which fabric is the grey upholstery on this frame?
Grey velvet with a fine striped weave, over a frame carried on metal support legs. Wooden flat slats form the mattress deck and the bed is assembled at home from two cartons.
