Questions before you buy
Which Steady measurement should I use when planning the room?
Use 167.5 cm, the headboard width, because it is the widest point of the bed. The upholstered storage box below the headboard is narrower at 162 cm, and the bed is 218.5 cm long.
How much weight is the Steady base rated to carry?
The supplier states a 500 kg weight capacity. Twelve rows of poplar slats span the lifting platform, braced underneath by a centre iron tube support running the length of the frame.
How deep is the storage under the Steady platform?
The compartment is 28.5 cm deep, sits inside a 30 cm high box and is lined with black non-woven fabric. It suits spare duvets, pillows and seasonal bedding rather than tall rigid cases.
What mattress does the Steady Queen take?
A 153 x 203 cm queen mattress, bought separately. Measure an existing mattress before ordering and check that its maker allows use on a slatted base that lifts with the platform.
How tall is the Steady headboard?
The bed is 90 cm tall overall, with a 59.5 cm rounded upholstered panel 8.5 cm deep. The rounded corners soften the outline, which suits a bedroom with low wall art behind the pillows.
How is the Steady Queen delivered?
It arrives in two cartons, 169 x 107 x 11 cm at 19 kg and 212 x 31 x 22 cm at 29.5 kg, and assembly is required with the included manual. Measure the longer carton against your access route.
