Description
Keira is the single bed with rails at both ends, which is the practical difference between it and a bare platform: the 90 cm headboard and 65 cm footboard hold the mattress where you put it, so the sheets stop migrating down the bed. The frame is iron tube with wooden slats across metal beams, the legs adjust, and there is 30 cm of clear floor underneath. Plan for 200.5 x 97 cm of room, which is more than the mattress alone.

What size mattress does the Keira single take?
A standard single at 190 x 91 cm, sold separately. The frame is larger at 200.5 x 97 cm because the headboard, footboard and side rails sit outside the mattress.
Why is the frame bigger than the mattress?
The 90 cm headboard and 65 cm footboard add length at both ends and the side rails add width. Use the 200.5 x 97 cm frame figure when you measure the room, not the mattress size.
What do the headboard and footboard actually do?
They close both ends of the frame and hold the mattress in position, which stops it creeping down the bed over time. The headboard stands 90 cm and the footboard 65 cm.
How much space is under the bed?
Thirty centimetres of clear floor. Measure any storage box in full, including its lid and wheels, and check it clears 30 cm before buying containers.
Is a base or box spring needed?
No. Solid fixed wooden slats across metal beams and struts form the mattress support, so the mattress sits straight onto the frame.
