Delivery & assembly

Two cartons

Carton A is 179 x 121 x 8.5 cm and carton B is 211.5 x 19.5 x 15.5 cm. The 121 cm width of carton A is the measurement most likely to be tight.

Carton weights

22.5 kg and 16.5 kg. The headboard carton is large rather than heavy, so two people make it easier to steer.

Assembly required

Clear instructions are included and the frame is built in the bedroom.

Questions before you buy

Which mattress fits the Gairich king bed frame?

A standard king mattress, 167 x 203 cm. It sits on the thirteen slats inside the boucle upholstered sides, and the mattress is bought separately from the frame.

How much floor space does the Gairich king use?

218 x 176 cm assembled, with the headboard reaching 114 cm. A king this size needs walking room on both sides to be comfortable in daily use.

Is the storage under the Gairich king usable?

Yes. The frame leaves about 25 cm of clearance across a king footprint, so several storage boxes or a pair of rolling drawers fit under each side.

How thick is the Gairich king headboard?

8 cm front to back, on top of the 218 cm bed length. Include it when measuring the bed against a wall, especially if a skirting board stops the frame sitting fully flush.

Can a king mattress sit straight on the slats?

Yes. Thirteen slats span the frame at 26.2 cm from the floor and carry a king mattress on their own, so no separate base is needed underneath.

What cartons should I measure the doorway against?

179 x 121 x 8.5 cm at 22.5 kg, and 211.5 x 19.5 x 15.5 cm at 16.5 kg. The first carries the headboard and is the wide one to plan for.

Why are the legs left exposed on this bed?

Rubberwood legs below the boucle upholstery break up the block of fabric and lift the frame visually. They also create the 25 cm gap that makes under bed storage possible.
