Description
The Emma pairs a 96.5 cm high-backed armchair with a matching ottoman, so head, shoulders and legs are all supported from a single purchase. The chair is 70 cm wide and 76 cm deep; the ottoman adds a 50 × 40 cm footprint at 35 cm high. Dark green fabric sits over rubberwood legs and a durable internal frame, and both pieces arrive in one carton at 13 kg.
Two pieces, two footprints
Armchair 70 W × 76 D × 96.5 H cm · Ottoman 50 W × 40 D × 35 H cm
Plan for both. The chair alone takes 70 × 76 cm, but the arrangement you actually bought — chair with the ottoman pulled up in front — runs about 1.2 m out from the wall once the two pieces meet. Pushed aside, the ottoman parks against a wall on a 50 × 40 cm footprint.
Height is the other planning number: at 96.5 cm the Emma's back will be visible from the doorway, so give it a wall where that reads as deliberate.
High back, cushioned seat, feet up
The Emma is the long-sit chair of this range, and the 96.5 cm backrest is why: it carries the head as well as the shoulders, which no 70 cm-high accent chair can do. Underneath, the seat is cushioned and the 76 cm depth lets you settle rather than perch.
The matching ottoman completes it. At 35 cm high it sits below seat level, which is the correct relationship for supporting the backs of your legs rather than tipping your knees up, and its 50 × 40 cm top is broad enough for both feet. Used on its own it doubles as occasional seating. Arms run both sides of the chair at seat level.
Dark green fabric over rubberwood
Both pieces are upholstered in fabric in dark green over a durable internal frame, on rubberwood legs. Dark green is a deep tone, which is the practical half of the choice — it absorbs the marks and shading that a pale chair advertises, so the Emma copes with a room in daily use. Rubberwood is a dense hardwood, and the natural finish leaves the grain visible against the green rather than painting it out.

The main bedroom corner you retreat to
A main bedroom corner where you actually want to sit for an hour is the Emma's case: a 96.5 cm back takes your head, the matching ottoman takes your legs, and dark green hides the wear a pale chair would show. The trade-off is floor — chair plus ottoman runs about 1.2 m out from the wall. Measure that projection before you buy.
How big is the ottoman that comes with the dark green Emma armchair?
Fifty by forty centimetres on a 35 cm height is the matching Emma ottoman, sized to sit just below the chair seat so it supports the backs of your legs instead of pushing your knees up. Both pieces share the same dark green fabric and rubberwood legs. Parked against a wall it takes only a 50 × 40 cm patch of floor.
How much floor does the dark green Emma need with the ottoman in front?
About 1.2 metres out from the wall covers the working arrangement — 76 cm of chair depth with the 40 cm ottoman pulled up to meet it. The chair alone is 70 cm wide. If your bedroom cannot spare that projection, the ottoman can live against a wall and come out only when you sit down.
Is the 96.5 cm back on the dark green Emma tall enough for head support?
Ninety-six and a half centimetres from floor to the top of the backrest puts the top of the Emma's back above head height when you are seated. Combined with the ottoman, that is the difference between a chair you perch in and one you spend an evening in. Expect it to be visible over a bedhead.
Does dark green fabric on the Emma hide everyday wear?
Dark green absorbs marks, dust shadow and general wear, which is the practical argument for a deep tone in a room in daily use. It is a flat woven fabric rather than a pile, so there is no nap to brush back either. Blot spills rather than rubbing, and vacuum with an upholstery head.
Do the Emma armchair and ottoman arrive in the same box?
One carton of 75 × 38 × 56 cm weighing 15 kg holds both the dark green armchair and its matching ottoman, with rubberwood legs packed for fitting. Assembly is required on both pieces. A single 15 kg box for a two-piece set is easier to get upstairs than the 96.5 cm assembled chair would be, so build it in the room.
Can the dark green Emma ottoman be used as extra seating?
A 50 × 40 cm upholstered top at 35 cm high makes the Emma ottoman usable as an occasional perch as well as a footstool, which is worth knowing in a guest room where a second seat is sometimes needed. It shares the chair's dark green fabric and rubberwood legs, so it does not look like an afterthought when used alone.
