Hybrid Prime Single Mattress
About this mattress
The LivingTopia Hybrid Prime Single is a pocket-spring, foam and latex mattress in the New Zealand single size, 92cm x 188cm. Support is a 24cm pocket spring unit on 1.8mm wire with a foam surround encasing all four sides of the unit, and above it sit 3.5cm of wave foam, 1cm of gel memory foam, 1cm of natural latex and 2cm of support foam, which read as Firm, 2 out of 10 where 10 is softest. The soft knitted cover is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and the foams to CertiPUR-US®. It stands 32cm tall with a euro top padded flush to the edge and weighs 22.5kg. It arrives roll-packed in a 43cm x 43cm x 102cm carton, which is how a mattress this deep gets up a narrow stair at single size, and it is typically at full height within 72 hours.
Who this mattress suits
- A single sleeper who wants a firm surface and is happy with a 32 cm mattress in a 92 cm bed.
- Teenagers and adults in a spare room who prefer support underneath to cushioning on top.
- Stomach and back sleepers on their own who want the top of the mattress to stay level.
Why choose the Hybrid Prime
Hybrid at this tier means four different materials over a spring unit. The unit itself is 24 cm deep on 1.8 mm wire, with foam encasing all four sides, which is what stops the border collapsing when you sit on the edge of a 92 cm bed.
Above it are 3.5 cm of wave foam, 1 cm of gel memory foam, 1 cm of natural latex and 2 cm of support foam. The gel memory foam softens the first few centimetres and spreads pressure where you press into it; the latex pushes back rather than holding a shape, so it recovers as you move.
The Prime is the firmest of the three Hybrid mattresses at 2 out of 10 where 10 is softest, even though it is the tallest at 32 cm. The Classic single is Firm at 3 out of 10 on 20 cm. The Plus single is Medium Firm at 4 out of 10 on 25 cm and has the most surface give of the three. If you want the firmest single, this is it; if you want the softest, take the Plus.
The mattress is compressed and rolled at the factory into a 43 cm x 43 cm x 102 cm carton. A 32 cm single at full loft is heavy and unwieldy for its size; the carton is what makes it a straightforward carry. Cover certification is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and foam certification is CertiPUR-US®, with certificate numbers available from our team on request.

Firmness is felt, not measured. Body shape, weight and sleeping position all change how the same surface reads, so use this level to compare our mattresses with each other rather than as a promise of how it will feel to you.
Size and fit
| Mattress size | Single |
| Dimensions | 92 cm x 188 cm |
| Thickness | 32 cm |
| Mattress weight | 22.5 kg |
| Shipping box | 43 cm x 43 cm x 102 cm |
| Bedding | Deep-wall single fitted sheets |
At 32 cm this needs deep-wall single fitted sheets, and it is deeper than many deep-wall sets are cut for, so check the wall measurement on the packet before you buy. The 43 cm x 43 cm x 102 cm carton is what lets a mattress of this depth come up a narrow stairwell at all. Unroll it on the base and it is typically at full height within 72 hours.

Frequently asked questions
How firm is this single?
Firm, 2 out of 10 where 10 is softest. It is the firmest of the three Hybrid mattresses we describe, despite being the tallest.
Why is the Plus softer than this and the Classic?
The Plus has a memory foam layer above its springs and reads Medium Firm, 4 out of 10 where 10 is softest. The Classic is 3 out of 10. This Prime puts its extra height into a 24 cm spring unit rather than into cushioning, so it comes out firmest at 2 out of 10.
What do the gel memory foam, latex and foam surround actually do?
Three different jobs. The gel memory foam softens the top few centimetres and spreads pressure where you press into it. The natural latex pushes back rather than holding a shape, so it recovers as you move. The foam surround wraps the sides of the spring unit and keeps the edge from collapsing when you sit on it.
What certification does this mattress have?
The knitted cover is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and the foams are certified to CertiPUR-US®. Certificate numbers are available from our team on request.
What sheets fit a 32 cm single?
Deep-wall single fitted sheets, and check the stated wall depth: 32 cm is deeper than a good many deep-wall sheets are made for.
Should I flip it?
No. The comfort layers and the euro top are built onto one face, so it is slept on one way up. Rotate it head to foot every few months instead.
