FirmCore Plus King Single Mattress
About this mattress
The FirmCore Plus Mattress in King Single measures 107 cm x 203 cm x 25 cm. Support comes from a 22 cm high-resilience independent pocket spring unit, under spray cotton over a high-density foam and a firm comfort foam, which sets the feel at Firm. The mattress weighs 25.8 kg and is finished as a euro top.
Who this mattress suits
- One adult who wants the extra 15 cm of length.
- Teenagers who have outgrown a standard single.
- Rooms with the length for 203 cm but not the width for a double.
Why choose the FirmCore Plus
The FirmCore Plus puts 22 cm of independent pocket spring under a 25 cm mattress, so most of what you are lying on is spring rather than padding. Each spring is cased on its own, which is what lets one side of the bed move without carrying the movement across.
Above the springs are three separate layers — spray cotton, high-density foam, firm comfort foam — finished as a euro top stitched level with the border. The comfort layers add surface cushioning while the firm reading underneath stays firm. The cover is a 300 gsm anti-bacterial knitted fabric.
The knitted cover is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and the foams are CertiPUR-US® certified, with SGS testing on the materials. Certificate numbers are available from our team on request.
This is the deeper of the two FirmCore builds, 5 cm more than the Classic, with the euro top and the spray-cotton layer as the upgrade. Both read Firm; the Plus puts more between you and the springs.

Frequently asked questions
How firm is this mattress?
It is rated Firm on our five-level scale. That level is for comparing our mattresses with each other; body shape, weight and sleeping position all change how the same surface reads.
What is inside it?
22 cm high-resilience independent pocket springs, under spray cotton over high-density foam and firm comfort foam, finished as a euro top. Total height is 25 cm.
What certification does this mattress have?
The knitted cover is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified and the foams are CertiPUR-US certified, with SGS testing on the materials, so both the surface against your skin and the layers underneath are covered. Certificate numbers are available from our team on request.
How does it arrive, and how long before it is at full height?
It arrives roll-packed in a sealed 31 x 31 x 115 cm carton weighing 27.1 kg. Unroll it on the base and it is typically at full height within 72 hours.
How heavy is it to move?
The king single weighs 25.8 kg. It is compressed for delivery, so getting it into the room is easier than moving it once it has opened out.
What sheets will fit it?
Deep-wall king single fitted sheets. At 25 cm this sits deeper than a standard sheet is cut for, so check the wall height on the packet before you buy.
