About this mattress

The Comfort Prime 7 Zone Pocket Spring Mattress in King Single is a 107cm x 203cm king single pocket spring mattress built to standard New Zealand dimensions. Support comes from a 30cm independent pocket spring unit divided into seven zones, under 2cm of high-density foam and a 1cm comfort layer that together set the feel at Medium Firm, 4 out of 10 where 10 is softest. The knitted cover is made with Eco Comfort Fibre, dust-mite resistant, anti-bacterial and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, and the foams inside are CertiPUR-US® certified. The mattress is 33cm thick with a euro top padded flush to the edge, has handles on both sides, and weighs 29.6kg. It ships roll-packed in a 32cm x 32cm x 117cm box, so a 33cm mattress reaches an upstairs bedroom without being folded, and it is typically at full height within 72 hours of unrolling.

Who this mattress suits

  • A taller sleeper who wants 203 cm of length and does not want to compromise on the build.
  • Back and side sleepers who want zoned support rather than one even spring field.
  • A guest room meant to be better than the guest room people expect.

Why choose the Comfort Prime

Two models, one decision. The Comfort Pro is the firmer surface at 2 out of 10; the Prime reads medium firm at 4 out of 10. Prime is also the deeper and more divided build: 30 cm of spring in seven zones, against the Pro's five zones across 24 cm. Over 203 cm of length that extra division is what keeps a taller sleeper's shoulders and hips on separately tuned sections. Go to the Pro for a surface that pushes back hard; stay here for more sections under a slightly softer surface.

On a 107 cm bed the zoning is doing a lot of work, because a narrow mattress has no spare width to spread a load sideways. Thirty centimetres of that 33 cm build is spring; the rest is 2 cm of high-density foam over a 1 cm comfort layer. Each spring is encased on its own, so it compresses under the part of you above it and leaves the rest of the surface alone.

The cover is a knitted fabric made with Eco Comfort Fibre, dust mite resistant and anti-bacterial, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, over CertiPUR-US® certified foams. The euro top carries the padding out flush to the edge rather than stopping short of it.

Handles on both sides make a 29.6 kg mattress something you can lift into place rather than shove.

Frequently asked questions

How firm is the Comfort Prime King Single?

It is medium firm, 4 out of 10 on our scale where 10 is softest. The 3 cm of foam gives at the surface and the 30 cm seven-zone spring unit does the supporting underneath.

Is the Prime firmer than the Comfort Pro?

No — the Pro is firmer, at 2 out of 10 against the Prime's 4. The Prime is the deeper and more zoned build: seven zones across 30 cm of spring, where the Pro has five across 24 cm. Buy the Pro if you want the surface to push back hard; buy the Prime if you want the support divided into more sections under a slightly softer surface.

What are the handles on the sides for?

Moving it. The mattress weighs 29.6 kg and is 33 cm thick, and the handles are there so you can lift and square it on the base rather than drag it.

What certification does this mattress have?

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 on the knitted cover and CertiPUR-US® on the foams — the surface against your skin and the layers under your body are both covered. Certificate numbers are available from our team on request.

What size sheets do I need?

Deep-wall king single fitted sheets. At 33 cm this is the deepest mattress in the range, so check the sheet's wall measurement before buying rather than assuming a deep-wall sheet will reach.

Does it arrive rolled up in a box?

Yes. It ships vacuum-sealed and roll-packed in a 32 cm x 32 cm x 117 cm box. Unroll it on the base and it is typically at full height within 72 hours.
